How much can BIM save??

Interesting article on how much BIM is saving on projects... The jury is still out but we're hearing that projects are coming in anywhere from 10% - 20% under budget when IPD is used on the project.

Autodesk, BIM and FM... FM:Systems

In a recent press release, Autodesk named FM:Systems a preferred partner on Building Information Modeling and Facility Management. I haven't had a chance to look at this solution as of yet, but will let you know what I find out!

Autodesk will continue to support and transition Autodesk FMDesktop customers to FM:Systems. Under the terms of the agreement FM:Systems will provide Autodesk FMDesktop customers with extended support as well as an option to migrate to the firm’s FM:Interact Workplace Management Suite.

There's even a special web site created for current FMDesktop users to get more information on FM:Systems.
